Chiranjeevi’s action drama leaves fans divided, netizens call it ‘tiresome affair’

Mega Star Chiranjeevi stepped into the shoes of Ajith and brought a family action drama for his fans, Bholaa Shankar. The much-anticipated Telugu film was released with much anticipation. However, the film has received mixed opinions from fans and moviegoers. 

Bholaa Shankar is the official remake of Ajith’s 2015 super-hit Vedalam, and netizens are having mixed feelings about Chiranjeevi’s actioner. Soon after the release of the film, several netizens took their views about the film to Twitter (X). While die-hard Chiranjeevi’s fans have enjoyed Bholaa Shankar, other moviegoers called it a ‘predictable’ ‘tiresome’ movie. 

A netizen wrote, “Good First half. Better music may have taken this to a whole new level. Chiranjeevi is fantastic.” A fan wrote, “As a Megastar fan, I celebrate every scene @KChiruTweets is in. But seeing him in the warning scene, the climax fight, and his dance in Sangeeth’s song, Milky Beauty, and the title song are truly exciting.” Another fan wrote, “From entry scene Boss showed his Mass Rampage 1st half comedy + stylish fights, Kotara kottu teenmaaru & Milky Beauty songs. 2nd half Bholaa Rampage song, Bholaa Mania & Jam Jam Jajanaka songs, Bholaa Rampage starts + sister sentiment + Climax fight top notch #BholaaShankar.”

Among the negative reviews, an internet user wrote, “After the disastrous response to #BholaaShankar, Chiranjeevi should consider twice before proceeding with his next project, the #BRODadday Remake, which is widely watched Film on the internet.” Another internet user wrote, “#BholaShankar rides on an outdated story that doesn’t have a single standout scene. It’s high time we get to see #Chiranjeevi in fresh, contemporary narratives.”

Interstingly, Bholaa Shankar will face tough competition at the box office as Rajinikanth’s Jailer, Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2, and Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 are running super-strong at the box office. Bholaa Shankar is directed by Meher Ramesh.
